Unlike HP Series mantles that rely on a pivot point, the GP100 Mantle gyrates with a constant, long stroke at a steep head angle. This demands a casting with precise spherical seating geometry and a reinforced lower skirt to maintain the tight nip angle and extended parallel zone essential for achieving high reduction ratios (up to 6:1–8:1) and superior cubical product shape without “ring bounce” or floating feed.

Cast from premium high-manganese steel (Mn18Cr2 standard; Mn22Cr2/TiC ceramic-reinforced highly recommended for manufactured sand/abrasive stone), the GP100 Mantle features a deep-profile design with a thickened, anti-flaring lower heel/skirt. This critical zone resists the centrifugal “bell-mouthing” deformation inherent to long-stroke operation, locking in the Closed Side Setting (CSS) stability for the full liner life.
